It's Prokofiev's "Troika". ^^

I think the ad has a turkey on it, M&S style. But the classical music playing behind it -- I've heard it before, but I haven't a clue what it is. It's fast-paced and Christmassy, mostly for string orchestra but I think there are bells in there somewhere.

I forget which company it is (might be Royal Bank of Scotland), but it's one of those adverts where they take a famous song and change the lyrics. It's been on TV quite a bit. Bumping this because I just heard it on "Tales From France" (23rd May @ midnightish) where the guy went to see the artsy cinema place. I thought it was a Newsnight-exclusive song, but it must be commercially available if it's on other programmes. It's a jittery tune and it's always used in Newsnight...

Anything from the American Beauty soundtrack is frequently used on TV. Kinda new-worldly and minimalistic. It was recently used on a shampoo advert -- L'Oreal, I think it was.

It's not glockenspiel, though, but a xylophone.

To add to it, in the first series the instrumental version of Rob Dougan's "Furious Angels" was used. It's on The Matrix OST. =)
