Spec-savers matrix themed advert

Post by lifeis »

Hello - I understand that this advert has been mentioned previously in an earlier post, yet it seems inconcievable that noone is able to name the artist of that ultra-cool beat....
any help in naming the song title/artist would be very much appreciated (though i have a sneaking suspicion it was an inhouse thingy mixed up by the designers....)

heres to hoping i will be proved wrong

many thanks,

such an all pervasive wall of silence greets me on the matter .... do i take that as a sign that everyone is clueless in seattle on the matter?

Specsavers Ad

Post by Linz69 »

Hello - I have been looking for this ever since I saw the advert. I thought it was a remix of a Depeche Mode song too, but apparently (I'm not sure if this is right), it is a song called 'Aquarium' from Saint Saens 'Carnival Of The Animals'. Please could someone let me know if I am right or wrong? :?

hmmm i dont think it is aquarium piece - that is a classical piece of music composed in 1886 ... http://www.emusic.com/album/10872/10872931.html if anyones interested....

hmmm ... the search continues ..... im ever more inclined towards my original thesis (namely that this piece was created by the advertising agency commissioned for making the advert, and thus doesnt exist as per se)

yet still i desire for someone to prove me wrong, oh so wrong

I had a sneaky suspicion that was the case.

I hadn't been able to find a copy to check

Come on - someone must know!!!

well, if its a copy of the advert which one is after then that does exist - naturally as with all things in life there is a catch, and it seems that this company desire not just a £15 membership fee but £2 per advert to boot - if extortion has another name i would love to hear it. Yet just in case individuals on this board are flash with their cash

http://www.visit4info.com/details.cfm?adid=33552

just in case....

and yet still the theme remains as elusive as ever... yet it sounds so damn familiar - had me thinking for a second there they had used and abused the theme to the matrix itself ... but thats just wishful thinking on my part

my mistake a thousand times over on the last - it seems that the link will enable one to view the advert to ones heart content...click on the broadband version, and provided you have macromedia flash player 8 and active x plugins enabled its all good....

only upside i can find to that is playing the accursed thing on loop until you become so sick of the oh so catchy tune that you wonder why the hell you bothered spending time agonising over its provenance the first place...

yet it is a start :)

Right they have come back to me and the name of the song is WILD SIDE but the song was commissioned by specsavers so its not an actual song.

Sorry!!

I wondered about this too... I think it is a take on Cold Water Music by AIM?
