i've heard this song used before on the telly (and have posted on here to find out without any luck so far!), but on this week's 'nuclear secrets' about mordechai vanunu - it was used again.
it is a beautiful eno-esque track and was used in the scenes where he was flirting with the american girl on the day before his story was due to be published (but wasn't), shortly before going to rome. it was used again later in the programme upon his release in 2004 (which showed the actual news footage).
if anyone can help, please put me out of my misery.
It is indeed Brian Eno, called An Ending (Ascent), originally on the Apollo:atmospheres and soundtracks album, but can also be found on the soundtracks to Traffic and 28 days later.
dodrade, you really don't know how great i think you are at this very moment! embarrasingly i am only aware of one eno song (the sublime 'deep blue day'), but i'm quite sure that'll soon change.
