Challenge Churchill

Hi

I've been looking for this tune for ages. I think it was originally used on a channel 5 late night poker prog and now the instrumental version seems to be on in the background of the churchill insurance ads with the nodding dog on- towards the end of the ad.

It sounds v like something Electric 6 might do (similar vibe to 'Danger! High Voltage') but I don't think it is by them, not that I've found anyway. It has the lyrics, 'I'm just a natural born gambler' on the version with lyrics.

Anyone any ideas?

I to am being driven mad by not knowing what the music is at the end of the challenge churchill advert.

I know I've heard it recently, but for the life of me I can't remember who it is ... can anyone help?

Some advert composers take a well known song and copy the structure, maybe that's what's fooling you into thinking that you've heard it before?[/list]

I know I've heard the tune in the Churchill Ad before, I thought from the radio. My missus has just heard it and thinks that she heard it on Radio 1 about 6 months ago.

I can hear the song in my head, the vocalist sounded a bit Tom Jones'ish, but it wasn't him.

Has this jogged anyones memory?

Yeah the one I'm thinif of is definately a proper song. Maybe the music on the end of the churchill ad just sounds like it, if theyre saying it was written for the ad.

The one I mean has lyrics about gambling in it...someone must know...?

This is still bothering me. Just seen the ad again with music playing in the background.

It's a GREAT tune and I know i've heard it somewhere else other than the ad.

I've Still had no brainwaves on this one, but I think we are after the same one as the singer on the one I'm thinking of is definately of the Tom Jones type ilke, raucous voice type thing.

Does the song you're thinking of say something about gambling in the lyrics?

This is a real niggler.

Yes, I'm sure there is reference to gambling in the lyrics or a similar type reference.

I also think that the music featured on an awards ceremony that Jonathon Ross hosted.

We can't be the only 2 people who have heard this music somewhere else other than the Churchill Ad.

Come on fellow readers, help us out ... please!

There's some sound clips on there from radio shows, I knew I'd heard it on Radio 1, Jo Wiley talking it up.
