"ring of fire" BBC documentary intro music

hey everyone, ive kept hearing this piece of music over the last few years on T.V. as yet have been unable to track it down, it appeared on the intro on "the human mind"bbc tv documentary with Robert winston a few years back, and also recently on the intro for that geology documentary on BBC4 called "Ring Of Fire" that was set in japan,it seems to get used a lot on BBC documentaries, a long shot i know but if anyone knows it will be greatly appreciated,
p.s. it sounds a lot like thomas newmans score to "scent of a woman" but definitely aint...
