Tesco's clothes advert
I can't remember the name of the Tesco's clothes label and not much of the advert as i've only just seen it. Basicaly models are wearing 'posh' 'stylish' clothes and then a red circle is shown to basicaly say you can buy 'stylish' clothes at cheap prices.
The advert i'm sure uses a remix of an old song. So it's not the remix of the song i want, it's the original. However if you know the remix that will give me something to go on to find the original. Can anyone help?
Many thanks

"Windmills of Your Mind" by Noel Harrison
To expand on that, the song is "Windmills of Your Mind" (Theme from The Thomas Crown Affair) by Noel Harrison. That is the original as far as I know.
This music was composed by Michel Legrand
OnlyMe
This music was composed by Michel Legrand for the 1968 film 'The Thomas Crown Affair'
This instrumental version can be found on the OST track 12

Re: This music was composed by Michel Legrand
That's not the version used on the advert though - just downloaded it to check. Wasted two of my free iTunes song credits on this advert. (I'm not blaming you Keith) Bloody iTunes should do longer previews of tracks!Keith M. wrote:OnlyMe

Did you listen to my Amazon link?
Rob
Did you listen to my Amazon link?
Compare the 2:-
Tesco Florence & Fred Fashions
"Windmills of Your Mind (Theme from The Thomas Crown Affair)" -- Track 12
I would say that there is something wrong with the itunes versions. Or amazon have put the wrong tracks on the link.
Any how I have ordered this disc as I never got round to getting it when I first heard it. I will dig out my Best of Michel Legrand disc and see if it is on that.
I'm sorry if you have been mis-led, but I use headphones and do a direct comparison to try and ascertain the origins of the music. Please let me know if you agree or disagree as I'm amazed that you have this problem. I think that the 1968 OST is fairly rare which does not help.

I tried to but for some reason now everytime i try to listen to a sample track on amazon it brings up a pop-up window asking if i want to save to disk a file called 'hurl.exe.' I download it and all it does is load up a black box and quickly disappears. I have realplayer on my computer as well, so dunno why it's doing that.
I couldn't find the soundtrack on iTunes yesterday, so thought they didn't have the rights to it. Ended up downloading a version from this album:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Michel-Legrand- ... 10?ie=UTF8
I found the soundtrack on iTunes today and so it's definatly track number 12 on the soundtrack.

I'm pleased that is sorted out.

I have found my "Best of Michel Legrand" and this has the track on it played by Peter Breiner & His Symphonic Pop Orchestra - doesn't have 'that' magic sound.
